Getting started

From team to first verified archive.

A concise implementation path for evaluating Data Convoy. Detailed operator documentation will be published separately.

1. Create your workspace

Sign in with a passwordless email code or magic link. Every user receives a personal team and can create additional teams for real operating groups.

2. Configure team storage

Set the production bucket, archive bucket and prefix, optional backup bucket, log bucket, and team default exclusion patterns. Bucket changes require elevated permission.

3. Connect a worker

Issue a one-time worker token, assign the worker to one or more teams you manage, and run it in the AWS environment whose IAM role can reach those buckets.

4. Preview, then run

Browse production data, select a small representative prefix, and begin with a dry run. Review the report before choosing copy-only or the separately permissioned verify-and-remove path.

5. Prove restore readiness

Use restore dry run to inspect scope, then perform a controlled retrieval and verify the resulting job record, per-object failures, and customer-hosted worker log.

Your buckets. Your workers. Your control.

Make the next archive reversible.
